The Through-Line

Across Palo Alto Networks, AWS, and Docker, my work has focused on one pattern: taking fragmented enterprise workflows and turning them into trusted, measurable platform experiences. I do this by combining customer research, information architecture, AI-native interaction models, instrumentation, and design-system infrastructure — so teams move faster and customers make better decisions.

Adoption

ECS Anywhere 37.9% WoW growth · 9× console visitor growth · v1→v2 migration strategy · 15–20 customer panels informing roadmap

Velocity

Design system delivery: 6 months → under 1 week · 24× cycle compression · 300 engineering hours reclaimed per update · 0 visual drift events

Revenue & GTM

Connected product funnels, API usage, and RevOps context into a $275M+ GTM expansion dashboard · Docker onboarding: directional compression from 12–18 month cycles toward 3–4 week guided proof-of-concept

What Sets Me Apart

Not just a designer.
A design strategist
who ships.

I operate at the intersection of UX, product strategy, and business growth — shaping platform roadmaps, launching products, and building the design operating systems that scale teams.

AI-Native Product Design

I design for human-AI collaboration — building trust, surfacing progressive intelligence, and making automation feel earned. Every AI surface I design centers on explainability, control, and confidence-building UX.

Platform & Systems Thinking

I architect cross-product experiences that scale. I design ecosystems — how data flows, how roles interact, how a single design decision ripples across an entire enterprise platform serving thousands of engineers.

GTM & Growth UX

I've collapsed 12-month enterprise sales cycles to weeks. I understand UX as a growth lever — designing adoption journeys, onboarding architectures, and expansion moments that convert trial into commitment.

Enterprise Complexity → Clarity

Kubernetes, ECS task scheduling, service mesh config, IAM permissions — I've redesigned all of it into interfaces that respect engineers' intelligence while systematically eliminating decision fatigue.

Research-Led Strategy

I run structured discovery workshops, map mental models, and facilitate PRFAQ alignment — transforming stakeholder noise into sharp, evidence-backed design directions that PMs, engineers, and execs all trust.

Design Leadership at Scale

I've built UX operating systems for 11 teams, defined tenets frameworks adopted org-wide, led solo as Principal UXD, and shaped roadmaps at S-team review level. I influence strategy — not just deliverables.

Selected case studies showing how I turn complex enterprise systems into clearer, trusted, measurable product experiences.

01 — AI-Native Enterprise Design Strategy

Palo Alto Networks — Architecting an AI-Native Security Operations Ecosystem

Led PANW's AI-native platform strategy across trust governance, agentic remediation, and Better Together GTM funnels — turning fragmented NGFW, Prisma Access, and Next-Gen Trust Security surfaces into one unified operating model. Mapped Pendo behavioral funnels to a $275M+ Better Together expansion-opportunity model. Repositioned design as operational architecture across 72 MFEs and 50+ designers.

Architecting the Next-Gen UI Delivery Pipeline

Led the architectural overhaul of PANW's design tokens into a deterministic 4-Layer Matrix (Primitive → Semantic → Trait → Component) wired to an AI-assisted compilation pipeline powered by Claude Code and a Storybook MCP server. Compressed global UI delivery across 72 micro front-ends from 6 months to under 1 week — a 24× acceleration. Established a token-to-code workflow where designers make governed visual-system changes and engineering receives validated, repo-ready outputs with zero drift.

AWS ECS — Redesigning Infrastructure Visibility at Scale

Led ECS console modernization across v1→v2 migration, two S-Tier launches, monthly customer panels, and the future-state Deployments experience. My mandate: help leadership answer which workflows were ready to migrate, where customers dropped off, and what the application-centered console should become. Delivered 9× visitor growth, 37.9% WoW growth at ECS Anywhere launch, 66% friction reduction, and 58K developer hours saved.

Project Armada — Enterprise UX for Docker's Kubernetes Platform

Led UX across Docker's enterprise Kubernetes and service-mesh platform. Redesigned the Universal Control Plane authorization model, compressed Istio onboarding from a 12–18 month evaluation cycle toward 3–4 week guided proof-of-concept, and built the UI pattern system used across Docker Enterprise. The platform UX strengthened Docker Enterprise before the 2019 Mirantis acquisition.

Design Philosophy

How I design
AI-native products.

I use these operating frameworks for every product decision.

01

Human + AI Collaboration

I design interfaces where the human is always in control, AI surfaces options, humans make decisions.

02

Progressive Intelligence

I design feedback loops where user behavior informs AI behavior, creating experiences that feel increasingly tailored without requiring explicit configuration.

03

Explainable AI UX

I design AI systems where the reasoning is visible, not hidden behind a black box.

04

Automation Control

I design systems where users can inspect, override, and tune AI behavior, because control is the foundation of trust, especially in high-stakes infrastructure contexts.

05

Trust Architecture

Trust is a design material. I map trust-building moments across the entire user journey — identifying where anxiety peaks, where confidence collapses, and designing interventions that shift the emotional trajectory.

06

AI Orchestration UX

Multi-agent systems need a conductor. I design orchestration layers that make complex AI pipelines comprehensible — showing state, surfacing conflicts, and providing recovery paths when automation fails.

07

Guided Optimization

The best AI UX is proactive without being pushy. I design guided optimization experiences — like ECS Cluster's AI-driven workload recommendations — that surface the right insight at exactly the right moment.

08

Failure-Mode Design

AI fails. I design for it. Every AI-powered surface I create has explicit failure states, graceful degradation paths, and clear recovery mechanisms — because a well-designed failure builds more trust than a hidden one.

Measured Impact

Design as a
business outcome.

3–4
wks

Onboarding Cycle Compressed

Reduced Docker's Istio enterprise onboarding from 12–18 months to 3–4 weeks through redesigned journeys and self-serve UX patterns — directly accelerating sales velocity.

37.9%

Week-over-Week Growth

ECS Anywhere Tier 1 launch achieved 37.9% WoW growth. Led the console CX strategy that maintained competitive edge for non-internet-connected customer segments.

9

Frameworks Built for 11 Teams

As solo Principal UXD, built 9 UX operating frameworks — tenets, risk registers, Working Backwards process, sprint metrics — adopted across 11 teams in business and UXD org.

500+

Customers Unblocked

Solved the ECS DescribeTargetHealth API throttling issue blocking 500+ enterprise customers from adopting the microservice paradigm at scale.

~20%

Engineering Estimate Improvement

Designed collaboration mechanisms and hypothesis-testing frameworks that improved engineering estimation accuracy by approximately 20% during Tier 1 launches.

$275M+

Expansion Signal Model

Mapped product funnels, API usage patterns, and RevOps account context into a GTM dashboard for evidence-backed expansion prioritization — connecting UX instrumentation to revenue strategy.
